Makeup Department Head/Key Class

The Makeup Department Head Class is a 2-Day class dedicated to TV & Film Makeup Artists who desire formal training to advance their skills and knowledge of managing a professional Makeup Department. The ideal candidate for this course should have at least 2 years experience working in Makeup Background, or acted as a Key Makeup or 3rd Makeup Artist in the Main Trailer. This class focuses on Script Interpretation, Makeup Design, Makeup Breakdown, Hiring and Managing Staff, Team Leadership, Budgeting, Scheduling and learning how to manage the department during ALL stages of the Production (Prep, Operating, Wrapping). You'll learn how the Department Head Coordinates with other Managerial Partners, and learn about Administrative procedures such as Payroll, P-Card Management, Product Sourcing, Sync-on-Set Continuity, etc..     In addition, this AMAZING class exclusively trains future Department Heads on Basic Safety Standards, Logistics Coordination, Union vs Non-Union Standards, Actor-to-Artist Engagement protocols, and Team Conflict Resolution Techniques.
