The Makeup Department Head/Key Class is a 2-day class dedicated to professionals who desire to advance into the Managerial side of TV and Film Makeup Artistry. The ideal candidate for this class would have at least 2 years of experience in Backgound, Key or 3rd Artistry work. This class is available for Union and Non-Union participants.
 
The class focuses on Script Interpretation, Makeup Design, Makeup Breakdown, Department Head Coordination with other Management Staff, and Administrative procedures such as (Payroll, P-Card Management, Product Sourcing, etc.).  
 
In addition, this class exclusively trains future Department Heads on Managing the Department, Basic Safety Standards, Logistics Coordination, Union vs Non-Union Standards, Actor-to-Artist Engagement protocols, and Team Conflict Resolution Techniques.
